Akshaya tritiya

Akshaya tritiya is a festival day at Odisha. This is the 1st day of creating the cars of Lord Jagannath at Puri. On this day the farmer starts plough on the field . So this is a great day at Odisha.

Kabi Samrat

Upendra Bhanja also know as Kabi Samrat .Who was born in kullada Which is near Bhanjanagar which is the subdivision of Ganjam.Upendra Bhanja is a great poet who wrote Labanyabati, Kotibrahmanda sundari, Baidehis Bilas,Gitabhidhan etc .All his poems are covered with chhand,Alankar.
Utkal Mani Gopabandhu had said in his book "Abkash Chinta"

Kotiutkal Santane
Aji Nabajuge Dhanya Dhanyabad
Karuchanti tumbhaneme

So Upendra bhanja is a great poet .
