April 14 is the 1st day of Odia new year.This day is observed as Pana sankranti. This day is an important day for Odia. People of Ganjam district of Odisa , they celebrate this day differently . 13 days before Pana sankranti , they celebrate the festival Danda Yatra. On this festival they worship God Shiba and Kali.
